New Calypso Competition on St Kitts

A new calypso competition will be held this year Dec. 23, at De House Nitery, Soho, Basseterre, St Kitts. It will be the inaugural MiyVue.com Calypso King ah de Tents Competition. The show is aimed at promotion of the art form of calypso in the islands, highlighting the unique styles and creativity of the entertainers.
The CEO of MiyVue.com, Val Henry, promises a humorous, hilarious, comical, and amusing evening. The winners will be chosen by the public, voting online at MiyVue.com or text messaging. It will be streamed live on MiyVue.com, and will be on ZIZ Radio & TV. Voting closes Dec. 25, and winners will be announced that evening.
Henry said, ?Calypsonians such as Unexpected, La La and Neglecter, just to name a few, have little opportunity during the carnival season to have a competition in which they can participate, given their style of music and topics, so King ah de Tents is designed to create that opportunity for these calypsonians to compete against each other.?
