Kalia (St. Kitts) wins Best Evening Wear Appearance at Miss Carival

The St. Kitts and Nevis reigning National Carival Queen, Kalia Huggins captured the Best Evening Wear Appearance at the 2012 Miss Carival Pageant.
The winner of the pageant was Miss St. Lucia, Roxanne Didier Nicholas. Carice Glasgow of St. Vincent won the first runner-up position while Davia Chambers of Trinidad secured second runner-up.
A total of 10 contestants some of who live in NEVIS REAL ESTATE competed for the crown which is in its 27th year and was held under the theme ?Miss Carival 2012 ? 27 Years of Exquisite Pageantry ? 1985-2012?.
Former National Carival Queen, Iantavian Queeley, took her final walk as Miss Carival 2011-2012, in a lovely blue gown before crowning her new successor. Another pageant is on the way, in which Queeley, being the reigning queen, will crown a new successor, Miss Jaycees Caribbean, which will be held in Antigua in a few weeks time. Kalia Huggins will represent the Federation in this pageant.
