Local Children Benefit from Annual Tennis Camp

In this year?s Four Seasons Resort summer kiddy tennis program, the kids not only gained expert instruction in the sport, but were all given new tennis racquets.
This is the 12th year that the resort has teamed up with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, to host the two-week annual summer camp, for residents and those staying in their NEVIS REAL ESTATE for the summer.
Coach Anthony Webbe said he was disappointed with the attendance this year, because they normally have over 20 participants, and this year , only 10 kids attended.
The program was initiated in 2000 by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Webbe explained, and now children across the island looked forward to the summer tennis camp.
He added that he too looks forward to the program each year, as he enjoys working with the children. The sport of tennis, he said, will help the children to keep away from negative company.

Pro Tennis Player Chris Myrold, said that Resort guests had donated money to the local Nevis Tennis program, to purchase the racquets for the participants of the camp.
