Each school competed in two rounds. The first round was themed ?Something Worldwide? and the students chose a country and showcased their culture in song and dance.
The event was organized by Island Soul Entertainment, and Cheddi Bradshaw of ISE said that the competition has matured tremendously.
?I saw a lot of growth in the performances. A lot of fresh out the box ideas and I could see that schools went all out to please their supporters and to showcase how much talent they have,? he said.
?It is a way to expose their talent to the community, to show their skills and show there are still positive youths within the community. The competition has contributed to the self-esteem of young people, as they use it as one of the avenues to showcase their talents,? he concluded.
The second placed school was Washington Archibald High School, while the Immaculate Conception Catholic School placed third. The other participating schools were Cayon High School and the Charles E. Mills Secondary School. This is a great competition for kids living in NEVIS REAL ESTATE to get involved in.
