Physical Education teacher at the Charlestown Primary School, Elquemedo Willet, said that the donation of the equipment came ?just in time?.
?The balls came in very handy as they prepare to attend the annual football festival competition in St. Kitts next week .We received 12 foot balls, three dozen FIFA t-shirts and cones. They came in handy for the practice session leading up to the competition in St. Kitts,? he said.
Lenny Lake, Technical Director at the St. Kitts-Nevis Football Association, and FIFA Grassroots instructor for North and Central America and the Caribbean, explained that the first phase of donated football equipment for St. Kitts and Nevis is now complete, and the second phase will begin in February or March 2013.
?Our philosophy of Grassroots is that every child, everywhere, should have an opportunity to play .We have to make sure we fulfill that philosophy.? he concluded.
