Sheila Williams, Consultant with the SIDF, noted that this was the second boot camp the SIDF had organized. The first was held in St. Kitts between November 19? December 7, 2012, she said, and 12 persons participated.
The SEED project was initiated to finance start-up businesses by granting loans ranging from $5,000 to $100,000 at 0% interest rate. The funding was derived from the Sugar Industry Diversification Foundation which invested EC $5 million in the program.
?The SEED program was established by the SIFD to spur the development of entrepreneurial skills and enterprises through training and financial support with the aim to transform the local economy, creating employment opportunities and increasing household disposal income,? she said during Wednesday?s closing ceremony. This will be great for anybody living in NEVIS REAL ESTATE on the islands.
