Liburd, Williams Bring Home Carifta Medals for Team SKN

The St. Kitts Nevis Carifta team returned from the Bahamas last Wednesday, with two of the nine athletes sporting medals.
Krystal Liburd jumped to a personal best in long jump with 5.74 meters, taking the bronze medal.
This was her first trip to Carifta games, and the young athlete was named victrix ludorum at the TDC Inter-school Championships just a few days before leaving for the Bahamas.
Carifta record holder in the Boy?s Under 17 javelin Adrian Williams, threw 63.22 meters to also earn a bronze medal.
In 2012 there were 13 members on the SKN team, compared to nine this year. The group was accompanied by Team Manager Scotty Hanley, Head Coach Donnell Esdaille and Assistant Coach, Roatter Johnson. The other members of the team, some of who live in NEVIS REAL ESTATE were Savaughn Boston- Under 17 Male - High Jump; Stavia Lewis- Under 20 Female ? Discus; Vernicia Joseph -;Under 20 Female - High Jump; Izaun Warde -Under 20 Male - 800m; Nathaniel Huggins -Under 20 Male - Long Jump; J?Anthon Sillidy - Under 20 Male ?Javelin; and Warren Hazel -Under 20 Male ? 400m.
